Differences on the M700 versions

The adl has a plain hardwood stock and no dropping floorplate.
The bdl has a fancier stock forend tip and dropping floorplate.
The cdl is a classier bdl with a new stock design.

All use the same action M700. I have neven seen open sights on the cdl but they are sometimes on the adl and bdl.

I have not had a cdl model but have seen them. I owned a adl in the 70's it was the cheaper brand of the models. The bdl was the next in line with cheek piece and fore end was tiped with "rosewood" I think. I had it in a 30-06. That was the gun I wish I still had. Sweet shooting. Loaded 168gr boat tail hollowpoints for it. Can't remember the powder. I believe the cdl is the higher grade model. I prefer by looks the bdl. The cdl that I have seen has the flutted barrel stainless and I think it comes in blued version also. I am looking by next deer season to have a 7mm bdl model.

I have a first year production Rem 700 ADL 7MM Mag and a new CDL in 264 Win Mag.Like both alot.Love the old 700's trigger much better than the new X Mark Pro trigger but it still is a great rifle.
