If I take too long in typing up a message, when I finally hit the send button, the site makes me log back in and then I wind up with a double post. Aside from typing faster, how can this be avoided?

Try composing your posts in Notepad or the like first, if you know it will be a long one. And we all get duplicates from time to time due to forum hiccups. If they're in the same forum I figure that's what happened and just delete one of them.
