Noon tomorrow. It should be a good day. Temps are suppose to be bearable and ball games will fill the time between flights. Can't think of a better way to spend an afternoon. Pics to follow.

Good for you Chief. It's been so hot here I can't get motivated to go. That, and I don't have a new license (our expire on Aug 31 each year).

Ours expire on 6/30 every year. I guess they get more in fishing violations here in SC than hunting. They probably get plenty on no plugs in the gun and baiting for opening of dove. I am sure it will be the big day of the year for the game wardens tomorrow. I believe I am all legal and ready to shoot.

Our's started on the first. I bought a Stevens 911A double 12 ga and don't have to worry about that plug anymore. Been waiting all year for dove season, like when I was a kid. BUT, my oldest daughter got a place of her own and it needs some fixing. Have to have it finished by the end of the month, so that she and her four childern can move in on October 1st. Maybe next year. Hope you all have fun.

The stay started out slow, as usual, so I left for a while to view my game cam and put up a stand or two. I got back about 1630 to the field and they flew OK the rest of the evening. I shot only one bird but should have killed at least 5 more. I did do a lot of blasting to keep things going so I popped my share of caps and that's what it is all about. There were about 15 of us so somebody got a 30 possession limit out of it and a good feast for Monday.
