I got my Tikka T3 today and have a dumb question. Do I need to buy seperate bases or will most rings fit directly to the receiver? I bought some Burris Signature rings and am thinking I need to get bases since it doesn't look like they will work directly on the receiver. Is this correct?

Yes you will have to buy bases unless you bought rings that will clamp right into the grooved receiver. I have a set of Warne rings on my Tikka that clamp into the receiver and they are nice. I wondered when I put them on if they would stay put over time under the recoil. It's been several years now and they haven't budged a bit. I like the idea of eliminating the bases from the equation, just less screws that could possibly work loose.

Just did some research and I will order the Ded Nutz one piece base and ring unit...looks very solid!

Nothing wrong with the set you've mentioned, but I'd also suggest Warne Maximas too. I love the Warnes I got for my CZs (non base, integral system there too) and think they are of very high quality. Medium height should work well for your Conquest.
