In Hamilton Bowen's new book, the first chapter is about a project to duplicate the famous #5 revolver. Mr. Bowen indicated that they could not get access to the original #5 to examine it. I've seen a number of articles that discuss the #5, which always refer to "fuzzy photographs" as their source of reference.
Does anyone know the story about where the #5 is and why it appears to be unavailable for examination?
