Does anybody have more information on this engraved Uberti Model 66 carbine in .22lr? The date of manufacture seems to be 1975 (year code AA). I can't seem to find any reference to this rifle anywhere.

Thanks!

Just to be clear--That is no where NEAR 'engraving'. That is cast in place decoration in the Gustaf Young styling.

IIRC, Uberti offered laser-engraved Model 1866/66's through their custom shop - but I'm a little confused...……

AFAIK, the Model 1860's had no side loading gate; but the post 1865 Model 1866/66's made did.

Your model 66 has no receiver side loading gate (aka: King's patent).

Did Uberti use a Model 1860 style w/o a receiver side loading gate for their Modell 66 .22caliber's ?

Yep, no side loading gate. I really like the look of the rifle because even though it's a small caliber rifle it still looks like the real thing with a fat outer magazine tube and barrel. It 's quite heavy for a .22lr though.
