Hi,
Just wanted to know if anyone has any opionions or experience with Fobus, Galco, or Uncle Mikes "kydex" type holsters.
I just purchased a Glock 23 and was leaning towards the Fobus, but the Galco Armortek looks decent as does Uncle Mikes.

Uncle Mikes and Galco Kydex holsters are virtually identical. They're both well made and functional. Let price be your guide. Fobus are a little thinner but no less durable.

My choice was Uncle Mikes but it's a toss up. You can't go wrong with any of these and they're affordable. Also take a look at comp-tac.com. They make some pretty innovative gear.

I like Fobus for Glocks (had a G23 also) as they are rigid and protect the trigger.  No experience with the other brands.

Depends what you are using it for, I suppose, but for the price I was very satisfied with the Fobus.  I mainly used it to keep the pistol handy while hog hunting.  You pretty much forget it's there.

I just bought a Fobus for an HK USPC and can rate it only as OK.  I bought the Roto-holster and it fits fine, retains the weapon well, is fast as lightning to draw, but that roto mechanism makes the gun sit quite far off the hip.  If you are not trying to carry conceiled then it is not a concern, but trying to carry it under a jacket without printing "ain't" gonna happen with my build.

I use the Fobus for my Sig 245.  I have had ZERO problems, and it actually will form to you[the paddle] the more you use it.  I think they work well for the price.  Bladetech makes one thats $60.00!

on the occasion that I wear mine, the paddle is always between me and the pants!, similar to a inside the waistband holster.  I guess you could wear it just tucked in the belt, but I suppose it might catch on things.   <!--emo&???--><img src="http://beartoothbullets.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo-->

I put the paddle inside the pants also.  Did have to trim off one sharp edge on the Fobus but after that it was very comfortable.

Ditto on inside the pants.  The roto feature is nice as it allows you any cant you want.  The Galco has only three positions, at least on the leather paddle holster.
