Noted Professional Hunter, gunmaker, cartridge designer, author, husband and father, George Hoffman passed away this morning after a long battle with cancer. George was one of the great Professional Hunters in Africa and lived through best and worst of times there. George's best known wildcat, the 416 Hoffman, is one of the most used wildcat cartridges carried by professional hunters in Africa. For those interested in George's life exploits, he has a book "A Country Boy in Africa" that is a joy to read. I highly recommended it. Bless his soul, George is gone to a never ending safari. He passed away near near his home in Texas with family by his side. Our prayers go out to his wife and children.

George Hoffman, a man among men... is gone.
