Great Flints

Wm Straight invented the ceramic flint made out of aluminum oxide 1n 1972..it lasted too long and worked too well so sporting goods stores quit handling them..repeat sales is what it's all about...then came a German fella in Pa that invented the Wheel Flint..Germans are proud of their wheellocks...the flint used a small tempered wheel on a axle with a small zippo flint and spring...the flint could be replaced...It too was immediately squashed as the GAME commission wrote a regulation with language to make it illegal...it was too competitive for stone flints...I can refer you flinters to the grandson of the inventor....limited quantities of the originals are still available....heres the email: (deleted)
