Hi there,

Let me start off by saying I know absolutely nothing about rifles. My father used to have a few air rifles and many years ago he swapped his favourite with a friend ,for this deactivated gun- what I believe is a K98? He did it as a favor to his friend and said he regretted it ever since. He stopped shooting at around that time, and since then, this gun has been stored in his shed. It was in perfect condition, but unfortunately rain dripped through the roof and has rusted the sight and a couple of other small spots.
This is a beautiful item and I've been trying to research its history/age online, but the story regarding the Brno factory seems quite complicated-mainly because I don't know what stamps/areas I should be looking at!
I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about this gun and what it might be worth? I have taken pictures of the areas I have found stamps/serial numbers.

I will add more pictures tomorrow- they just take so long to load sorry!

Welcome to the Forum

Looks like a nice rifle. More pictures would be helpful and especially of any markings on the top and sides of the receiver. There are many knowledgeable folks here that are willing to assist you. All the best...
