I just ordered a set of 1911 grips from Altamont. I'm very excited and wanted to share them with you... and the cost... $45!

Wow that's pretty neat. Wonder how they get that kind of detail?

Those ARE pretty, aren't they. I'd suspect laser engraving.

Personally, I prefer the checkered, for grip and aesthetically
Well... try these. The first was a close second to the USMC grips, for me. The second is more traditional.

It must be something genetic because most women would not appreciate them at all and I think both the grips and 1911's are beautiful. What's the old story, I can't describe beauty but I know it when I see it.

Excelent choice with Altamont. I will be ordering the grip inserts for my Super Redhawk in the Super Rosewood with the snakeskin pattern. In my humble opinion you can't beat the price for what you get. :)

1911... the guns are Altamont's, not mine. My guns are plain janes from Colt and Springfield.

This is my daily carry and now sport the USMC grips.

I got it. Those grips will look even better on your gun. Be sure and post a pic when you get them on.
