A friend of mine who made scratch-built muzzle-loaders for a liveing for many years turned me on to this trick.

For many years he used Casenit from Brownells until his mentor had him taste the stuff.... then told him to substitute plain old white table sugar!   Yep, works like a champ, for everything from hardening flat springs and frizzens to sears.... give it a try!   Just a tad bit cheaper too!

FWIW!

God Bless,

Marshall

Reminds me of the high price medicine my brother bought to make his bulls sex active! He said it sure worked and those bulls would stay at it all day! I said to him," wonder what's in it?" He say he didn't know but it tasted like pepper and gunpowder! Oh well......time to feed the bulldogs!
Best Regards, James
