Being that you are dealing with a very small diameter screw, I would advise you to take it to your local smith. There is nothing to be embarrassed about.

Any good smith should be able to extract the screw with the proper tools.

It is possible that the screw has some type of thread lock on it also thus making it still a better idea to take it to a smith. He can also perhaps give you a few options on fixing it.

Save yourself any further aggravation and further damage to that gun. These little things can turn into a mini disaster if not dealt with correctly.
