I recently came across a 1957 high standard 22 in original box. Inside the box is a smaller box approx 2"x4" full of silver dollar sized pressed charcoal targets marked NRA Target High Standard. Does anyone know anything about these? Thanks.
High Standard made a few differant models of targert pistols. Most I've seen were pretty good shooters.
They were quite poplular in Bullseye Pistol, second only to the Smith Model 41.
The best of the lot was the VICTOR. Although some Victors had jamming problems, But if you got one that worked, (in my opinion) it is the best 22 Target Model. I have one (Victor) that I've been shooting since the mid 70s with zero problems.
If you could post some pictures we might come closer in telling you what model you have, although it should say on the gun, box or both.
