Stopped at my local gun emporium for the weekly bargin shopping expedition where I ran across the new reloading manual from Hornady. It followed me home where a casual page through reveiled several observations.
Foremost was the addition of a host of new cartridge offerings that have come on scene within the last few years. Among the offerings were: 6.5 Grendel, 6.8 SPC, 30 Rem AR, 30 TC, 7.92x33 KURZ, 450 Bushmaster, 50 Beowulf and the Nitro Express series 450 - 470 - 500.
Additionally many old time favorites had a expanded list of powders used. Many of these powders were developed recently. Most of the old editions data was reprinted following a quick scan of contents.
My major complain about the Hornady manuals is there lawyer proofing of loads too the extreme. Many times there maximum charge weight is lower than the starting loads in other respected manuals. They do a great disservice to the reloading community when this is done.
