I just bought my first lever action, Hartford 1892 in 45LC, 24" octaganal barrel, for hunting and plinking. I was looking around for some info on this gun and found this forum and thought I would sign up.

A little about myself...I'm not new to firearms. My Dad is a retired federal officer/firearms instructor and I was in law enforcement for 12 years. I love to shoot and am looking forward to getting into reloading so I can afford to shoot the 1892 and my various handguns.

I have already learned a few things about the 1892 and from what I have seen will be getting some good insights into other firearms related subjects as well.

Thanks for letting me join the group!

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good folks and information here. Looking forward to reading some of your posts. I too have several pistol caliber lever action carbines and I really enjoy shooting them. They are handier than a shirt pocket...
