My son and I were at the range today: he with his '91 1911A1; I wif my 4&4/5" .41 mag BH.

After plinkin' at a couple 30 ga barrels at 100 yds, I put out a Chinet paper dinner plate at 100 yards and got three hits on it out of a cylinderful (6).

Who da man?

I felt like Mr. MaGoo!

Elrod,

And then what happened? If you're like me after I surprise myself (doesn't happen very often), I fold it all up and go home while still basking in the warmth of my accomplishment.

Oh yeah, I went home and showed my wife.
She said, "I hope you're not using up all the paper plates!"
Exit warm fuzzies.

Dang. I'll never clean that gun again!

Isn't it amazing, finding out what is really possible, after hearing all the crap that handguns aren't worth anything?  Not just from the mainstream media, from a lot of gun mags as well.

First time I hit a gallon jug full of water at 100 yards with a .44 mag.... I felt like a million bucks!
