What guns are available for this ammunition? And what do they cost?

I just traded and ended up with 168 unspent cartridges plus 37 cases. All but 35 cartridges show the mark 30-30 on the rim. Does this mean that they have been re-sized from 30-30. I have pics, if anyone wants to see.

Thanks

Thomas

The only factory rifle that was chambered for 219 Zipper was Marlin 336 dated 1955/59 That I know of I have one. and shoot it. the 30/30 re formed ammo is worthless to a collector. *********** stamp ammo about $1/2.00 each to a collector but generally he only wants 1
The guns now are scarce. They did not sell well . Then the ammo was dropped by win and rem.
Get what you can get for it

Omniblender - First, welcome to the board. 2nd - we have pretty strict rules on new members advertising items for sale before meeting the requirements to do so. Review the "Stickies" at the head of the Trading Post forum for selling policies and requirements.

I doubt if anyone will be interested as they are reloads and an unknown as to how safe they are to shoot. Probably best to pull the bullets, dispose of the powder and then try to sell the bullets and primed cases. Of course someone buying the bullets could do this themself.

Thompson Center made a barrel for their contender in 219 Zipper. I have one and love it. Bought it sometime in early 1990. I reload all my ammo from once fired or new 30/30 brass and have not had any problems. It is a great little cartridge. If you haven't shot a contender you are missing out on some real fun.
