Still looking for a donor 35 Remington. Between the awful winter weather and Covid shutting down all gun shows the looking has been very limited. As the weather starts getting better I will start hitting the few gun shops here in Central NYS. Also hope to find some reloading components. I have the barrel, brass, dies and bullets already for the 250 and 250 ai. I will keep you informed.

250 AI . 30-30Ai . 35-300 savage AI . All on marlin 336 action. . They all work great in the marlin levergun . I really enjoy reloading and shooting them . The 250 savage with just the factory ammo is hard to beat. The remington 100 gr. run just under 2700 fps. and the Hornady 100gr. run just over2600 fps. The reloads will gain another 200 fps.
What bullets are you using in the .250AI?

Hello roverboy.. In the 250 AI. I've loaded 75gr. A max .. 85gr nosler. . 100gr. Sierra, 100gr nosler. . 110gr. FTX.. 110gr eldx.... 117gr Hornady sst .. and got some on hand that I've not tryed yet like 90gr sierra hollow point that I believe will make a great little round .. Loader 17 and win 760 seem to give the best velocity and lowest pressure so far

I have and have had numerous Acklied rifle chambers
still have the 280 A.I its a serious cartridge
along with the obvious advantages with the A.I chamber is another
its the recoil it is not as sharp as the parent cartridge
I think it has to do with the shape of the case but that is just my thought
