he mostly used big box S&B. Around 800 m/s usually. Pretty mutch all the ammo you can buy is around 780-820 m/s unless you buy Norma or Lapua wich is loaded to full pressure and clearly marked as not for the m96. My handloads are a little hotter but still in the 820-850 range. I am not expecting silence, Mostly want to remove muzzle flash and reduce the powder bang. The crack doesnt travel far in the woods.

It eliminates the muzzle blast and all is left is the supersonic crack, which is spread over the entire trajectory of the bullet so it doesn't give away your location.
