Has anybody reloaded the IMI (Israel Military Industries) 44 caliber 240JHP or JSP in the 44 Magnum? I have used the IMI 358 caliber 158JHP in my S&W 686, 8.375" barrel with 10.5 grains Blue Dot, WSPM primers and R-P Brass. It shot about 2.5 inches at 50m yards. Considering the price I thought the accuracy was excellent. Any one else with some experience with these bullets?

Maurice,

I have never handloaded any IMI bullets, but have shot their factory ammo in .38 Spl. +P (lead), .357 Mag. (Jacketed), and .44 Mag. (jacketed). All were as accurate on average as any other factory ammo in the couple of guns I tested. In fact, the .38 load with a 158-grain LHP was quite hot. Its velocity in a 2" S&W M10 exceeded that tested in several 3" and 4" guns using similar Federal and Winchester rounds.
