I'm looking for a value on an old Ithica side by side 12ga. I don't know the model of this gun but it's a side by side with damascus barrels. The gun is in poor cindition but not rusted or beat up. The person is asking $100 for it. Would this be a decent price if it will shoot or even for a wall hanger?
Thanks, Mike

Well, the usual thing is to go look at the auction sites and see if any of your model have actually sold. But to me, a hundred dollars for any functioning gun, is a good price, with a few noteable exceptions. It's my understanding that Damascus barrels are nearly impossible to judge for safety because corrosion can be hidden deep in the layering, so, as a wall hanger that you can at least open and snap the trigger on it's up to you. If it's really cool looking, just compare it to any other reproduction garbage like the Remington ads, or the phony Russell and Hinton wannabes that clutter the local shops with prices well above what you are paying for a real piece of memorabilia.
