Ithaca Model 37

Here is a link from the Ithaca website. The Model 37 is available in 12 and 20 gauge with 3 inch chambers Hope this helps. The only concern may be the cost of these new shotguns. I have a number of used Ithaca 37s that came off various used gun racks for a fraction of the cost of new ones. Take care...

The major thing about the Ithaca 37 made today is that it is made of steel, not aluminum alloy's, stampings or plastic.

The trigger guard/hammer group is all steel not plastic/alloy like others out there. The frame is steel unless you order the ultra-light, all machined.

It is a quality shotgun, if you want a cheap shooter then buy a off shore $250 w/extra barrel. I've seen the copy's and they are baaad.

The 37 was originally designed by John Browning, and I think all of his gun designs were the best ever.

I'm not sure if you're stating that Ithaca 37 came with plastic and alloy parts, or if you're comparing it to other brands/models that do. I have seen a fair number of these guns and own two of them and I've never seen any plastic or alloy on them except for the front "Ray Bar" sight. Is ther a series of these that were made different?

yes, the model 37 is a much more expensive gun, but well worth it when you consider the quality of materials and workmanship, not to mention the bottom discharge! A great gun indeed...

My first post here, but been shotgunning for decades... :)

You can buy a used Ithaca 37 - the best pump gun ever - a used one in quite good condition for under $300. I had one in my hands yesterday.
I have another in my gun safe.

I love my 37. It is chambered in 16ga. I would like to have one in 12 or 20 since 16 is getting harder to find now of days. It was my first bird gun. I'll check out the new ones when they are out. I wonder if they will still have the hold the trigger and keep pumping feature.
