Going to an auction with 3 boxes of 30-06 loaded ammo using 165 gr bullets. It was produced by the Kit Carson Cartridge Company. Ever heard of it -- did it make good ammo? thanks, Roger in Texas

I am a 30-06 cartridge collector and have never heard of this ammo. Can you post some photos? What does the headstamp say? What exactly does the box say? Any imfo would be a help. It sounds like a custom reloader to me but that is just a SWAG.

All I've seen so far is a picture of the three boxes -- can't share the picture without buying it from Kodak.
The end flap on the box shows "Kit Carson Cartridge Company 30-06 165 gr soft point". Not a lot of info I understand.

I'll actually see the contents on Sunday the day of the auction. I am curious to see the headstamps.

I'm a shooter/reloader not a collector so all I'm looking for is safe shootable ammo (hopefully cheap). If there is a collector there, he will probably win.

It's a old reproduction blackpowder round for that 1895 Winchester. see you in Rising Star. Also Roger in Texas
