I frequently reload for .44 / .45 handguns and was wondering if any of you could tell me what LBT design has the best reputation for accuracy. Thanks.

I think you'll find that accuracy is an inherent trait of the firearm and not the projectile. Out of a good handgun any LBT type at 800-1600fps will be accurate if the operator does his/her part.

Have you checked out the Tech Note by Bill & Dan on 200 yard shooting? (Click on the Tech Notes bar to the left. It takes a while to load.)

Most of the designs are more accurately than can be descerned from a hand held revolver, however in my experience with these bullets in the last 13 years, and the reports of our customers, the LFN profile has an inherent accuracy edge in most applications.  This edge is more pronounced when shooting lower velocity rounds, and tends to shine best at longer ranges.

Bottom line is this... shoot whatever your smokepole digests best!

God Bless,

Marshall
