Got excellent accuracy in over sized (antique) barrels with that bullet at shorter ranges using BP. Wasn't a great 250 yard bullet, but an excellent 150 yard one (in black powder terms...was still arching out there with plenty of drop, but shot well).
Dropped right out of the mold with just some burr removals (on the mold), didn't need Leementing, didn't get to shoot it yet, but I'm expecting good things if I ever figure out a good load for it..........steg
I shoot that bullet with 28 grains of SR 4759 out of my marlin 1895. My favorite bullet for my 1895 is my Ranch Dog designed bullet, the TLC460-425. is one of the best bullets I have ever shot in my 45-70 rifles and my Contender.
