I have 2 45ACP Dies. Stamped on one die is 45acp-A3 and on the other is 45acp-E3. How do I know which of these is a carbide die?

Look at the end where the case goes in. You should see a ring of metal that is a slightly different color on a carbide sizing die.

Thanks, both are slightly darker. I wonder why the different numbers?

Are they both resizing dies or is one a powder-through Expanding die? Maybe that's the "E" ?
Lee does not currently show a non-carbide 45ACP set, in their catalog.

Those are Lee numbers for mfg date/lot.
