Just wondering how many of you guys are useing the 12 gauge 1oz Lee slug for deer? I was interested in how effective you guys think they are compaired to other slugs you have used? I am trying them out in both of my slug guns and am very happy with how they shoot. Just wondering about their knock down punch. I am using almost pure lead. Well at least I can cut it pretty easily with my thumb nail. I am using Lee's load for Accurate #5 but using 35 grains of powder rather than the 38.5 they use as a max load.
Anyway you guys that have taken deer with this slug are you happy with the performance of the slug?
