I thought i would post my results of my reloading efforts. I am shooting a howa 223 with a 24" barrell. Using 55 grain v-max's and 55 grain sierra gamekings I got 1/2" groups and less with five shots. 19.5 grains of IMR4198 with the v-max, 25 grains of varget with the gameking. Half a grain in either direction and accuracy is lost. As a plus both loads grouped in the same spot on target giving me interchangeable loads without adjusting the scope. I think I recall that Howa was making the Weatherby Vanguard. ?? But that's real good for a production rifle.

Howa does make the Vanguard, Howa's have a well deserved reputation for quality and accuracy.
