Loads for .45-70?

I'm just starting to work up some loads for a new rifle (Browning 1885 Trad. Hunter in .45-70) (lucky me!). Im thinking of starting with the Lyman cast bullet #457122. Maybe the Hornady 350 gr. RN as well? But my mind is open.

Any suggestions? I've got the Lyman Reloading Handbook and the Cast Bullet Handbook, but would be interested in hearing about practical experience.

check out loadswap.com, above. There are lots of loads for the .45-70 there and if you click the "details" button, usually there is more in-depth information about the load.

Loading for a Marlin 1895LTD with 24" bbl, my favorite load is the Hornady 350 RN, 57.0 gr of VithaVuori N133 powder and a Winchester WLR primer. This load chronographs at 2060 fps and normally shoots into a 1.0 - 1.25" l00 yd 5 shot group.
