Just picked up three partially built M1A/M14 type rifles, but they are missing the lower half of the receiver/trigger groups. Anyone know a good place to get surplus parts for these rifles ? I may sell one of the receivers to buy parts for the others. I don't need match grade parts, just good shootable stuff. As usual, any info will be greatly appreciated !!! Thanks, HD1

Don't need an FFL to purchase a trigger group

Thanks for the info M141A. Is it the lower half of the receiver that separates these rifles as legal or illegal ? Are receivers marked M14A1 okay ? I love these rifles, but don't know much about them. I have always been a bolt action guy myself. HD1

The trigger group comes out like a garand.

perfectly legal to purchase without an ffl.
Receiver, is where the bolt is housed, that needs the FFL
