I'm assuming that the magazine catch on my P220 is reversible. I can figure out how to get the button/catch assembly out of the frame, but am a little apprehensive about pulling the support plate off to swap sides on it.

It appears to be a piece of spring steel that is pressed in place and held by the "springiness" of the plate.

What is the recommended way to remove it, and also what is the procedure for putting it back in place on the opposite side of the frame?

Strong sugestion: Pop over to the SIG forum and log on there, there is a pin in that darn set up that if placed in wrong will cause serious problems.
