Does anyone know if the longer mag tube from the 6+1 could be installed on a SS guide gun? Would be great if it could.

Sure, provided it's a .45-70 mag tube, with the bump-out in the rear wall opposite the loading gate side.

The exact length might have to be adjusted (cut/fitted), and an upper/forward hanger or band fitted to the barrel.
