I plan to get a LOT more practice shooting my .22 conversion on a 1911 frame. The practice regimen will include magazine changes/reloads.

Problem is, I only have 1 magazine for my pistol. The only source I've found for extra mags is Midway and they want over $60. I'll go that route if I have to, but I'd sure appreciate any leads on a little more reasonable source for mags.

Thanks.

You'll need to say whose conversion you have to get help with this? My Bob Marvel conversion, for example, uses a Colt .22 Ace type magazine. He's now got a polymer version that has to be fitted to the gun by sanding that's $30, but I couldn't make out from the literature, since he's now expanded the line to include the Para and others, if there is a limit to which guns it fits in? I would call him about that before ordering.

It's the Colt conversion unit. Not one of the early collectibles. Third generation from 60's or 70's I think.

Does he have a website?

Here's one from Midway
