Grizz, but Magnum Research also builds a "normally sized" revolver as well. I think they are a great buy!we shot many rounds from a friend's 10" 45/70 BFR. it loved my guide gun load: 525g beartooth bullet over H322 for 1310 fps from the revolver. That's a low pressure load that will not damage a gun and doesn't generate anything like the 454 type pressures. I am fairly certain that that load from that gun will double punch anything that walks the Americas or the taiga.
you own a pretty large patch of ground with that load...
the only thing I wonder about with the BFRs is some calibers have very long cylinders with short rounds, making for a pretty hefty jump to the forcing cone, sorta like the judge series of taurus revolvers. I've never seen any accuracy issues quantified, but it does make me wonder.
the BFR is a wonderful gun, more so when loaded up with a loaded down 45/70 round giving you true buffalo gun ballistics.
