Check out this article on trial of a Marine Amputee in DC on gun posession charges. Interesting twist: Represented himself.

Here is a letter to the editor on the case that interpreted the jury's verdict as representing a rebuke to the "system."

Perhaps the most interesting twist: The disabled Marine Veteran was on the way to Walter Reed Hospital and was advised that he could check his pistol there for secure storage!

Thanks Ralph McLaney,
Both links were a good read that I told my family about at breakfast this morning.

A fair example of right vs. wrong is not the same as legal vs. illegal.

another good reminder that conceiled carry should be just that, conceiled. don't flash your piece in public ever. all it takes is one itchy 911 dialing finger and you could be in a world of hurt even if you were legal to carry conceiled. This could have gone much worse for the defendant in the case if the officers had decided that this was a high risk arrest and took him to the ground. I can't imagine that would have been good for his injuries. God bless the Marines.
