You may be mistaking the term "rimmed" cartridge with the term "rimfire" cartridge. Two totally different things. The 30-30 is indeed a "rimmed" cartridge as is the 45-70, .38-55, .32 Win Spcl, and lots of other older cartridges, along with a few of newer design as well like the .375 Win., .338ME and .308ME.
marlin 336w round
This is a simple question: on marlins website the 336w is posted as a centerfire. it says the caliber is 30-30win; i i thought 30 30s were rimfire cartridges so my question basically is will the marlin shoot any 30 30 rimfire round or are there some special centerfire round?
