Marlin 36 in 32 Win Spl

Hi everyone!
I have recently become the proud parent of a Marlin model 36 in 32 win. spl. and am rather curious. Has anyone used cast bullets in one of these and how do they perform? Can you drive them 2000 fps + or -? Has anyone seen jacketed bullet loads for the 170 gr. that are 2000 fps +? (Most of the jacketed loads in my books are below 2000 fps.) Also the supply of 32 spl brass in my area seems to have dried up. Can I form them from 30/30 cases without getting into problems? I'd appreciate any comments you folks have.

Hey Dave!

How's it goings? Midway has 32 Win. Spc. brass. For a box of 50 it is $13.28. You can call this number and order by phone:

1-800-243-3220

Product # 110-394 on pg. 28

I order a bunch of stuff from Midway and they seem to be about as cheap as anyone. They also have brass for you 356 Winnie. Talk soon and hope we see some sun pretty quick! Chris PS....get their catalogue...they have Hard Cast also from various companies
Hi Dave,

I made a mistake in saying Midway has ready made Cast.....my catalogue doesn't seem to have them at a glance. They have lots of casting stuff though as you probably know. I found a 150 gr. cast at Western Cast Bullets that looks correct:

Also, BTB may have a good design. Take Care and talk soon. Maybe get some range time in soon and will give you a call. Chris
