I read an article or post by Ashley Emerson recently and can't seem to locate it anywhere. He mentioned a Fort Worth area gunsmith that did some nice work on a Marlin 336 for him.

Does anybody have any recollection of this and who the smith was?

Wayne - I can't help you with the smith in Ft Worth but if you need a good smith to work on your 336 you can try contacting Dave Clay out of Arlington, Tx. He did some excellent work on my 1895 and I was very pleased. You can find him on the web by doing a search for DRC custom guns. Hope this helps you or that you find the name of the other smith.
