As far as range goes, I used to whack steel iron maiden targets with my M48 Yugo with its issued sights out to 400m. The range was my units unknown distance sniper range. Never did try the targets out to 675m.

gprairie, can you post some pictures?

CD
that cartridge will take deer out as far as most of us should be shooting at them... most deer are shot at less than 250 yards so i'd give the 'ol girl a go!
The survey I took after last year's hunting season had over 80 responses and clearly showed that the average shot on big game is very close to 100 yards. The mean average was closer to 80 yards. Pretty sure even the anemic US loadings of the 8x57 will get 'er done at that distance! :)
CD - im still trying to figure out how to load pics from my phone and the only thing i can get out of this is how to send to email or text message so if you want i can do that unless anyone knows these new phones now a days

Sign up for an account at any one of the image hosting web sites like photobucket http://photobucket.com/ Your phone may already have a built in app to upload to one of the image hosting sites. http://photobucket.com/mobile/index/

Image hosting is free (for the most part... limited bandwidth and storage for the free accounts). I have never needed anything other than a free account.

Once you have your image uploaded, you can use the standard img tag to show the photo in any web forum that uses the bb format
Any ideas of what cost would be for restocking?
Any ideas of what cost would be for restocking?
That could be anything from ~$150 for an after-market drop-in, to as deep as your pockets go, for a custom wood stock. That's kind of like asking how much a diamond costs...there are many variables that will determine the final cost.
So if i cubic zirconia it people will know:) I get what ur saying and thanks
Im thinking about making my contributions to the hog problem here in tx since i now reside here, so would hunting with the 8mm be a good idea?
It would be a great idea. Should have no problems with hogs.
