I bought a new Mossberg Patriot 30-06 the other day and oiled it and adjusted the trigger and sighted in the scope. I have put two boxes through it and still it has feeding issues. It is a double stack box magazine and every other round (right side) and always the last round on the right, the tip of the round gets fed up into the top just above the receiver and gets jammed there. I am guessing this is a magazine issue?

Definitely sounds like a magazine issue. I bought one in 25-06 a few months ago. Have ran 80rds through it. 20 rds of Core Lokt 100gr & 60 rds of PPU 90gr. So far not one problem.
Prefer my Stevens 200 over it, but can't beat it for the cost.

Feeding Problem

I have the same problem. The dealer I purchased from, Impact Guns, examined the magazine and found that the follower is at fault and cannot be repaired. They have ordered a new magazine for me at no cost to me.

BAR malfunction

Not in my newest BAR Safari model: I bought a new replacement clip ($42) and it didn't help. Had dealer return to Browning, they returned it "fixed" and it still wouldn't feed nor chamber. Called and asked to talk to the smith who had worked on it and they refused to let me speak to him. So two Browning BAR's sit in the gun cabinet because no one in the family will trust one after several times of having the crosshairs on an elk or buck and hearing that loud "CLICK" when you pull the trigger. I don't want to double post so will refer to "Canadien Hunting" of 10-02-15, post #9. I can speak for at least 5 friends who have abandoned their BAR rifles because of malfunctions and gone to Remington 742 or Rem 7400. My boss traded his Grade ii BAR for a Rem 742 about 33 years ago and has not had a single problem since.
