I just got this rifle from my brother.
I'm not well versed in Black Powder, and was wondering if you guys could tell me a bit about my new rifle?
All I know is it's a navy Arms in .50.

That's a Navy Arms Morse model. I believe they were Italian made (possibly by Pietta) and imported by Navy Arms. Don't know a lot about them except they are no longer in production.

Those boxlocks are pretty interesting. I've never seen the internals of the action. If you ever have problems with it getting parts may be a problem. On the other hand they may be so simple that you can make any parts you may need.
