H4831 has always worked well for me in 270 from 110 to 130 gr. bullets. Never reached listed Max loads as always found a good one before I got there.

So, check out the many online manuals that list loads for solid copper bullets, ie Barnes to start.

I've always used either IMR-4350 or H-4350 powders when reloading my .270 with 130 grainers. Accuracy is excellent.

The OP nees to tell us exactly which “Barnes bullet” he is using. The Original? The TSX? The TSX tipped? LRX? It matters.

It depends as other have stated. My preference has been to use IMR4350 in .270 Winchester with 130 grain bullets and work up loads following reliable and published data. All the best...

Right out of the Barnes manual. 59.5grs of Rel 19 for 3211fps. in a 24" bbl. This load out of my Win 70 with 24" Bbl shows 3219 over my chrono. I have been using it for years without the slighest problem. Always good case life. Super accurate in my rifles.

I use 53.0 Grains of either IMR-4350 or H-4350. Both are below maximum charge, and work with any case brand or 130 grain bullet. I like Remington brass for my .270 Ruger M-77.

Think my best charge is 38.643 gr. -/+ 0.002 gm
