I second the Redhawk, It is cheaper and a whole lot of gun for the money. Either caliber will do anything that you want to do, now or in the future. The .44 mag can be taken to low end .454 velocities and the .45 Colt can be taken to nearly the same velocities as the custom 5-shot guns. But only if you use the right bullets and reloading practicies can you reach these levels safely.
