I just acquired a Rem. 760 in .308 from my grandfather. What a great rifle!!. My question is...

After taking the trigger group off, how do you remove the bolt from the action bars?? Its in dire need of a good cleaning

Thanks guys...

I did just that Scott...I hosed it down good with WD-40 then blew it out with some compessed air. I guess that will suffice. I dont think my grandpa..(RIP..:(..) ever clened that thing!!! There were what seemed like bits of tree bark and grass all in the receiver!!! The rifle itself is probably about 80% but it shoots fantastic. Thanks all for the help. How can I tell if it is an early model?? I dont know much about these guns...as you can tell.

By the way...My nickname has nothing at all to do with the spyplane. I have a Honda Blackbird motorcycle and just thought it would be a cool name.
