I have a hand made 243 that I am trying to gather information on. It has a proof mark of a crown over a wreath with a sun rising and a swan taking flight. I can't find any information on this mark. If anyone has any idea please let me know.

Is it a proof mark or a crest on the receiver? It sounds awfully detailed to be a proof mark which are generally small and fairly simple in design.

Hard to say but it sounds like a theme on one of the South American crests. The Argentine crest has a wreath and rising sun but no swan. Here's a link to an image of it:

The mark is on the upper part of the receiver....
