I just got a 4 5/8 SBH and want to work up a light load for it using Unique and a 285gr NEI SWC/gc.   (sorry, it's not a beartooth)    I'm looking to get about 1000fps.   Does anyone have any load data using a bullet of roughly this weight with unique in a short barrel?    thanks.

With the NEI bullet,  try using 8.5g Unique for a starting load to reach your 1000 fps target velocity... it should get you close.  Use Winchester primers and either Winchester or Starline brass for most uniform ballistics.
