Folks, we need prayers up here in Alberta this morning.

The son of one of our church families went missing at about 3:00 pm yesterday...run away. We thought maybe he was hiding in the bushes behind his yard, or one of the old outbuildings, but that's not the case. We thought he would come home last night as he got hungry or cold, but it didn't happen. His older brother thinks he may be on the way to the city to meet him.

This morning though, we're all a bit nervous. Even hitchhiking to the city should take 5 hours or so at worst...and surely somebody would report a kid trying to hitchhike to the police. The other problem is that he has some health issues.

They're starting with the search dogs right now, with a helicopter on it's way, and a grid search to start very soon.

Please pray for this young man that he stays safe, and for his family that thet may stay calm!

Thanks also to the efforts of the police and their dogs, the pilots, and volunteer search parties who helped us find him.

We came upon him yesterday, roughly 45 hours after he went missing. He has cystic fibrosis, and when he gets cold his circulation is severely restricted. As a result, he occasionally completely locks up. That was what happened to him, and we found him in a ditch about 8 miles from home, where his parents had literally driven past several times while searching for him.

Anyway, he's in the hospital right now, just for observation. He's in good spirits and seems to be doing very well.

Thanks again to you folks for giving us the strength to walk those many miles to be able to find him.
