I just got my .45 Colt Bisley last night, and in addition to slugging the bore, I also miked the throats (perhaps not the "right" way, but I got very consistent results, and was very careful.  The bore measured .451" and the throats measured .4505"

I'm thinking that I should size my bullets to .452" but my throats will still be too small, so I'll need to address that.  (please make comment on whether the .452 sized bullets would be a good choice)

Where in Colorado can I get my throats reamed a little larger (.4525 or .453?) ?  Front Range would be nice.

I don't know about a machinist in Colorado but I had the throats on my Bisley opened to .453" by Robert Stillwell of Stillwell Tool & Die in Texas.  The price is &#3645 which includes return shipping and the turn around time is @ two weeks.  I'm very pleased with the results.

You might try Qualite' Pistol and Revolver (QPR).  They are located in Denver.  I've never used them, but some gunsmith friends buy parts from them.

Newguy,

Have you shot this Bisley yet?  Before I spent any money on "fixing" a problem, I'd shoot the gun to see what, if any the condition you described has on the accuracy.
