Well here it is a new twist. Read about the pro's, and con's of soy wax, and peanut oil.
Soy wax is non sooting with a clean low temp burn. Peanut oil has a flash point between 450, and 460 degrees F. Also has good lubrication, and corrsion protection.

If anyone can add to , or take away from any of this please do.

Oil is oil. Wax is wax. We can talk all day long about which type/brand is better. But in the end, oil is oil and wax is wax. Find one that suits your needs. And what I mean by that is one that doesn't offend your nose too much and cleans up like you want it to. Just keep your primers and powder oil and wax free and you should be in good shape.

I have no use for bore butter, but I do make a good patch lube with Castor Oil.
